*Weekends possible!!* *TEFL Certified/Honours Degree*

My name is Andrew. I'm a native English speaker, from Gloucestershire in England. I have a TEFL certification from TEFL Worldwide, Visocany, Prague. I also have an honours degree in Sociology. Both qualifications were achieved in 2012 and since then I have been teaching English as a second language in Asia and here in Europe. In the time I have been here in Prague, I have taught a variety of students, from many different companies. These students have had many differents levels and requirements. I truly believe that I have made real improvements to all of their English, so now I am seeking to expand my teaching horizons and take on private clients. I have experience teaching all ages and levels. I am equally confident in teaching grammar, as I am with conversaton. Do you have an issue with reading, writing, speaking or listening in English? Are you seeking to improve your pronunciation? Are you looking to improve your English for an exam, or simply to be more confident when travelling? I'm here to help and I genuinely believe that I can help you!

I sincerely look forward to meeting you and working hard to improve your English! :) ONE TO ONE TEACHING IS MY SPECIALTY!

I can come to you, or you can meet me. I live near Krizikova, so I can quite easily get to most places in the city. :) I'm also willing to dicsuss doing classes during the weekends. Please contact me at andrewphilipkaton@gmail.com.

What I Like About The Czech Republic:

I like absolutely loads of things about the Czech Republic in general and Prague in particular. I like all the obvious things, like the great (and cheap!) beer. I like the nature, outside of Prague. I like all the small differences in the animals and plants, compared to the ones we have in England. I like the laid back nature of even the biggest city, Prague. It never feels too big and it never feels threatening. I like hanging out in Reigrovy Sady with my guitar and a few good friends on long hot summer days. Most of all I enjoy my job here. I enjoy helping my students improve their English and watching it happen before my eyes!

Additional Information:

I firmly believe that teachers of English, who are native speakers, work best with students at B1 level and above. Students currently below B1 level, in my professional opinion at least, require a teacher who speaks their own language. This greatly assists with explanations. Also, the teacher has had to learn the grammar, in the same way as the student has to now. I do believe however, that there is simply no substitute to a native speaker for students at B1 level, or above. Having a solid native speaking teacher with many years experience, such as myself, is the best way to a natural use of the English language. I would therefore respectfully ask for offers of students at B1 level or higher.
